I don't think they offer accelerated courses. Also I think the only transfer option (full 60 hours) is to the University of Guam. After I had completed 25 FEMA courses the article about GCC and their Associates in Emergency Management came up. After I saw the flyer I started finishing the FEMA courses specifically required by their program. I'm 4 away from completing their full list of FEMA courses. You are right about the time though. Since they don't have accelerated courses it would take a full semester to finish off their AAS.

Here is an update on my status. i haven't applied with TESC yet but I'm very close now. Here is how I stand so far:

    IS-001, 003, 005.A, 007, 008.A, 100, 100LE, 139, 200, 208, 230, 235, 240, 241, 242, 244, 271, 275, 279, 288, 292, 301, 317, 346, 362, 386, 393.A, 394.A, 650, 700, 702, 703, 800.B, 803, 1900

    Q318, Q118, Q534

9 hours and drudging along with the backup courses.

I also have 9 and possibly 12 general ed hours from LSU. I have to check my transcript to be sure.

So far so good but I have one more question. Does anyone know if the people at CERT transcript the IS-317 course? According to FEMA they no longer transcript it since CERT puts it on now.
