For how many centuries has the Catholic church said that every other religion was created by Satan? But ok, ok, fine, this one random person that no one has ever heard of before said something that was not nice, so I guess that makes it even. :dunno:
Let's see . . . Trump is a direct agent of Satan. me again, our own apologist supremo for Trump, is enrolled in a master's degree program in theology at a major Catholic university, although I'll never know how he manages to devote any time to his studies in light of his posting frequency here. Therefore, there is an obvious correlation in the data that might appear to validate Jeffress' theory. :drive: __________________ This is obviously intended to be an absurd redaction, since there is humor in everything.
The Roman Catholic Church preaches salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is our only ticket to heaven and the full revelation of salvation can be found in Him; and there will be no new revelations that are outside of Him. That is the teaching of the Church. There are some Protestant denominations that incorrectly and egregiously teach that the Roman Catholic Church is the “whore of Babylon” found in Revelation 17:1-18:8. It is a demonic teaching (in origin) that is used by the devil to "divide and conquer through misinformation." From the beginning, the ancient serpent has attempted to gain credibility by mixing lies with truth i.e. the devil's lies become obscured in his smoke and mirrors -- but his lies contaminate his entire message. The whore of Babylon is comprised of apostatized churches, denominations and religious people that are leading souls to hell by teaching false doctrines.
Or is it the other way 'round? Yyes - over the years the Whore of Bablyon has had a lot of names - Roman Empire, Catholicism, Jerusalem, even. It might have been a tax dodge to protect her immoral earnings, I dunno. Among others, Martin Luther referred to Catholicism in that way. He also wrote "On the Jews and Their Lies" - suggesting that all Jews be killed. That book got considerable renewed popularity in Germany in Nazi years. Lovely fella, that Luther. J.
