    And when will that be.:D
You are absolutelly correct. Furthermore, I find it unbeliavable that someone may use human rights activism (I believe that gay rights is a human rights question, and that homosexuals should have minority rights) and "an honest day work for an honest day pay" (Truck driving, alternative medicine, consulting services, etc. are honest ways to make a living) as arguments to attack people. This to me evidences the stupidity of the author of that piece of trash.

I agree with Janko on this; and I hereby reiterate what I have long said about this sort of thing:
    • We really should not even acknowledge or comment on it.
Even I fell into it here... but now wish I hadn't.

We've all given the creator of that page exactly what s/he wanted. It's our attention s/he seeks. S/he is no different from a child in that sense. The worst-behaved children are the ones whose parents haven't the courage to ignore them when they have trantrums.

I should have killed this thread when it first began. Maybe next time I will. We have got to stop this, everyone. It's given them exactly what they were looking for. We've handed it to them on a silver platter.

Please, everyone... stop reading (and especially participating in) the other fora... or the abusive sites to which they link. Please. Like any schoolyard bully, if you just ignore them they will, I promise you, either dry-up and go away (because, at that point, their very reason for existing will have gone away); or they will have converted their bitterness into legitimate discussions about the magnificence of the diploma mills and others less-than-wonderful so near and dear to their hearts.

"Whilst"? You know who uses this term all the time? Someone connected to Knightsbridge, who bought another fake degree from TC&U, someone who routinely lies about posters here (even while one himself). I'd name him, but I don't know if I could duck fast enough.

    Hey, hey, Rich, hey hey.
    (That was four 'heys'.)

Gregg: I should have killed this thread when it first began. Maybe next time I will.

John: Oh, I do wish you (or another super moderator) had, and still will, Gregg. I am not inured to such things. I sulk and/or mope for days.

[sigh] Having said we shouldn't continue this, I can't leave this one alone. The "duck" hint, of course; plus what we know about him and his "degrees"; plus the fact that we can point to posts where he has used "whilst", pretty much makes the person Rich refuses to name Neil Hayes.

That said, though their degrees do not match with Rich's criteria, it's worthy of note that just in the past roughly four months, the following members here have used "whilst" in original (as opposed to quoted) text in posts:
    • agilham
    • George Brown
    • QuinnTylerJackson
    • nosborne48
    • Will Makeit
    • sentinel
    • kcfile
    • RKanarek
    • rince
    • Ian Anderson
and both Hayes and Leonard van der Walt were quoted by others here as having done so elsewhere.

Of course, I'm absolutely not suggesting that any of those people might have done it. I'm just pointing out that the use of "whilst" isn't, sadly, sufficiently uncommon that we can conclude too awfully much from the fact that it was used in the offending web page which is the subject of this thread's starting post.

Well, the damage is done, now. But there has also been sufficient posted here to counter the offending page that there is, at least, some balance.

I know, John. By closing it, it will fall down the list of threads and will not be so easily stumbled upon. If we change servers again and break the SEARCH feature, it won't even be available by that means. ;)

But seriously... the part of me that just can't bring myself to revise history is having trouble deciding to go ahead and remove the thread. Perhaps one of the other mods will have the courage to do what I hesitate to do... though I'm not sure they should. But I can, at least, stop it from getting any worse.

    Thread closed.
