Can someone recommend a degree plan (B.S degree in I.T or similar field) where I can get most of Upper and Lower Division credits for Major done via I.T certifications like Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL. etc. and the General Education credits done via CLEP. So least residency requirements.
    Thanks.

Bsba cis at tesc accepts some of the older certs for credit but lots of the general eds are testable. Google tesc clep and you will learn.

Yeah, the BSBA CIS is the easiest to test out of. You can completely test out of the general education, business core, business elective, and free elective requirements. There is a DSST and a TECEP you can use for the CIS concentration. You can also earn 4 free CIS credits from TEEX. You will probably have to find a few courses to complete the rest of the CIS electives. Penn Foster offers Intro to Programming for a low price. Systems Analysis and Design is a specific requirement that you're going to have to take at TESC or find somewhere else.

It might be good to apply to all of the Big 3 (Thomas Edison, Excelsior, and Charter Oak) to see what they will give you for your IT certs.
