My husband and I both requested applications from Deakin University. He for the BSE and Electronics and I the LLM and SJD programs. That has been early May, to date we have received nothing, not even an email from them. Is this typical? Do they have representatives here in the US that can assist with information and registration? Thanks.

If you go to the following address, you'll find a link for requesting an admissions packet.
    http://www.deakin.edu.au/aasd/students/admission/application_procedures.php
Alternately, if you go to their little google search engine and type in "application form," you'll get a results page complete with application forms to every faculty in the university.
Finally, I'd suggest that if neither of the above works to your satisfaction, you set your alarm clock and call them on the telephone. This sometimes brings the best results.
Best of luck to you both.

Send an email to the Dean; that will bring results!

Unfortunately, most Australian university administrations are still working under 1950's union protected conditions. That's one reason why Australian universities are broke.

They teach doctoral courses in business and management and run their organizations like protected workshops.

Most the 'girls' are sipping lattes and complaining about all the work that have to do, but never seem to get around to doing anything, like answering emails!
