I enquired at amberton about how much would an MBA cost me. The cost is approximately $11,475.00, as per their reponse . cost per 3 hour course is $675.00. I checked Texas A& M commerce- which is AACSB accredited , has a fee of 797.50 /3 hr (in-staters). Woudnt it be better to go for AACSB college, which is a little more than what i pay at amberton? wat do you guys think? Is Amberton worth 11K??
I had went there for one class, but had to transfer since they don't participate in a Student Loan Program. A regionally accredited MBA for 11k would be worth it depending on what you want to do with it. But if I lived in Texas, Texas A&M Commerce would have been an easy choice for the price, accreditation, and name recognition. You could go anywhere in the U.S. and most people if not all would have heard of Texas A&M. An extra 1k-2k would be worth it in my opinion. Amberton has one of the least expensive MBA programs, RA, but really no name recognition beyond Texas. They also really don't have a lot of concentrations under the MBA. They have strategic leadership, management, and a general program. So that leaves out Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Technology, Global Management, Non Profit, and many other concentrations.
Look at Excelsior College - it allows students entering the program to transfer a generous number of graduate credits earned through approved sources.
.. i have done my bachelors in engineering in electronics I wonder if transfer of credits , if any, may help with cost??
If cost is a concern then make sure you do not have to take prerequite courses - this can bump up the total cost. I doubt if you can transfer courses from your BEE if that is your question. But if you have any graduate business credits you may be able to transfer them for a cost saving.
