To celebrate 100 years of education in Chicago, City Colleges of Chicago (CCC) announces the launch of its Centennial Scholarship program, totaling $50,000 in tuition and fee assistance for new and existing CCC students planning to earn an associate degree or professional certificate. “Over the last 100 years, City Colleges of Chicago has transformed the lives of more than one million alumni and their families through education,” said Chancellor Cheryl L. Hyman. ”What better way to celebrate our Centennial than to give more students access to a quality education and ensure their success by providing them with the support to complete their program and move on to further education or a career.” To be eligible for a Centennial Scholarship, applicants must be carrying (or plan to carry) at least 12 credit hours per semester at City Colleges. For a full list of eligibility and application requirements, and to download the application, go to http://www.ccc.edu/100YearScholarships. Questions can be submitted to: [email protected]. Two brief essays and one letter of recommendation are required for the application. Completed applications are due by November 18th. All scholarship recipients will be honored at a CCC Centennial event this winter.
