BYU has been offering hundreds of courses via independent study for many years (one of the largest programs in the country). Increasingly, they are developing online versions of these courses. Their bachelor of general studies program allows for 3/4 of the program to be done via distance learning--not necessarily the best option for everyone, but an excellent one for those who started their education at BYU and did not finish.
