I have made a short list(not final) 1. Baker college 2. Touro 3. Columbia southern (if above two wont work out). Will i get admission to PHD in future with this MBA in a RA University like touro? Which one would be a better choice?
High marks for Touro Hello, I just completed my MBA through Touro (waiting to have my graduation certified) and thoroughly enjoyed the program. If you want great instruction, coupled with knowledgeable faculty, plus a dash of flexibility - Touro will meet your needs! Happily considering the next step, Steven King MBA Candidate
Steven- Can you give me any information from a student's point of view about Touro's MBA. Iam torn between Touro and Amberton. Although Amberton is cheaper per credit you have to factor in books. I understand that Touro is $300.00 per credit, but there is no cost for books. What type of examination did you have? What was contact like with other student and professors? Every time I think I have made a decision (just recently I was sure I was going to go apply at Amberton) I read something else about Touro that takes me back to the drawing board. I have to make a decision in a couple of months. Thanks
I don't think there will be a great deal of difference between Baker and Touro in terms of acceptance. Both are "ok" RA schools - but not AACSB or top tier. Baker's program is much like UoP's. They share a lot of faculty and their approach (6 week terms) is fairly similar. I believe, however, that Baker is run much more like an educational institution and less like a for-profit business (such as UoP). Do recognize that I teach for Baker. As for acceptance to a PhD program - if you're looking at the big 6 in DL (Argosy, Capella, NSU, UI, etc.), you probably won't have a problem. If you try to apply to an AACSB accredited business school's PhD program - you may find a hassle. They'd probably look down at Baker and Touro. For example, Case Western's DM program requires an MBA from an AACSB school. Regards - Andy
Steven- Thank you for the information. I now have a better understanding of how the program works (the web site give but so much information).
Touro's Website No problem! If you search our forum you'll see that Touro's website has been discussed in the past. Steven King
