Yes Ian I do agree with you but their tuition is scary :

    $315.00 per credit

    it means 315$ x 60 = 18900 $ x 5.5 = 103950 Egyptian pounds
    ( with this number in my country i can buy a faculty ) :p :p :p

I was awarded my BS by Excelsior based on courses I passed at ten colleges and universities over a several year period. Plus I took a CLEP exam for my English Composition requirement. I did not take any exams offered by Excelsior (although at least one Excelsior course is now required).

I took lower division classes at 2-year schools because they tend to be lower tuition cost than 4-year schools.

I liked the Excelsior program because I could design my own degree (within program constraints).

The Excelsior catalog and web site should have answers to most of your questions.

I have ran out of suggestions (computers and computer schools are not my area of expertise) but here are some interesting sites that you might find useful:

Here's how to get a BS fast (and possibly at low cost)
    http://bain4weeks.com/

Consider possibilities in the UK – several options come to mind:
    (1) Check out the City and guilds qualifications – they have an international division
    http://www.cityandguilds.com/cps/rde/xchg/cgonline
    (2) Take the professional route through a professional society such as the Institution of Electrical Engineers (or similar organization)
    http://www.theiet.org/careers/profreg/index.cfm?origin=homepage-profreg
    (3) Check out UK foundation degrees – I'm not absolutely sure but I think they are similar to the AS/AA degrees of the USA. I have no idea of costs.

Ashworth's degree does NOT focus on networking. There is a network course in the program but only one.

Well, recommended you the school that costs less $200.00 per credit. You think it is too expensive, now you're asking for the school that charge you $260.00 per credit.

    Iowa Central College Online

Iowa Central College (Online) does not appear in the CHEA database as far as I can tell. Maybe I am blind? The school claims accreditation status from [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif][SIZE=-1] North Central Association in 2001 (last accreditation reaffirmation, apparently).

Tuition is listed on their web site
    http://www.iowacentralonline.com/faq/class_cost.htm

Don't forget to include all other costs (books, software, and electronic kits).

Tuition is prohibitive for some USA students so they look to Australia and South Africa schools for degrees (plus there is an Australian member of this forum looking into the Malaysian university I mentioned previously).

UNSIA has educational awards that might fit your needs
A National Diploma in computer systems
    http://brochure.unisa.ac.za/brochure/showprev.aspx?d=l_4_23&f=p_NDEENCOS
That can be followed up with a B.Tech. degree
    http://brochure.unisa.ac.za/brochure/showprev.aspx?d=l_4_26&f=p_BTELNCOS
    Tuition is here
    http://www.unisa.ac.za/contents/studyinfo/docs/process_docs/Fees_2008.pdf
Looks like cost might be in the region of R2160 (USD252) per year which includes a surcharge for non-SA students (Assuming I read their chart correctly).

Sounds like a great deal to me.

How about Clovis or San Juan College for an A.G.S. or A.A.S.? Inexpensive tuition, regionally accredited, and minimal general education requirements for either degree. I'm not sure how many computer courses are offered online, but it's worth checking out, since their residency requirement for transfer students is five classes.

    www.clovis.edu
    www.sjc.nm.us

    Good luck.

The Cleveland Institute of Electronics (CIE) is nationally accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC). The course list indicates it is an applied degree (Associate of Applied Science - AAS) and therefore has few required general education courses.

There have been instances where a nationally accredited degree or individual courses (DETC) has been accepted by regionally accredited schools. You have a few hurdles but they are not insurmountable. Search the forum database for past postings on the subject.

At least two people have suggested Excelsior. Why is this not a good option for you?

I get the impression you have not delved into the big three to any great extent.

Based on prior input from forum participants you could do the following to get an excellent, low cost, RA associates degree:
Take 45 of the required courses from Clovis at $54/unit = $2,430
Take 15 of the required courses from Iowa Central at $260 = $3,900
Sign up for final year at Excelsior $895
    Graduation fee $495
    Total cost $7720
Of course for non-USA students the dollar exchange rate and inflation enter the equation. Plus there is the cost of books, proctors, equipment (for computer lab courses), and unknowns factors.
These prices apply to the AS in Liberal Studies and the AAS in Technical Studies (the AS in electronic/computers would require more higher cost courses).

Your other option is to slow down and take your degree over a longer period of time. An AS degree would normally (for most part time students) take around 3 years (or more) so take it over 4 or 5 years.

If you have issue with tuition, then why don't you go to Andrew Jackson University with AS/BS in Business Administration? The Business Administration degree plus IT certification such as CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, and etc.; should give you a good career. I am not sure how the job market in Cairo, but in the United States you find most people work in the IT environment doesn't have a degree. Howeve, eventually will be replaced by the young generations.

I am in the IT industries, and I look at people to qualify for the job is based on the following.

    50% Experiences
    30% a College degree
    20% certifications

I don't know about others, but that is my opinion.
