Aspen EdD cheap enough to make it work for me.

I agree completely. People should make the decision based off what the school can do for them now, not what may change. It might also help if Dave Lady works on getting a football team started ;)

Oh man, I totally agree. Why can't a good school just be a good school?

This is a serious matter and no joke.

I have in my marketing plan for this year to start an EA Sports online college franchise and create a virtual Aspen University team. I don’t know I I’ll do it, as it will require me to land on a mascot.

Ha! I knew you would jump right back into another program Oliver. Your tone is sounding more and more certain of it all the time.

I think TMW's comment is really interesting, completely understandable (something is truly lost), but I think many of you know where I stand. Anything that makes the educational machine have less control and propagates cost effective education to the masses is good in my book. I know it's blatant selfish capitalism, but I think it will work best in educating and assisting the average citizen (at least for now).

If it were me, I would go with something like the Aspen Quakies.

Competitions could be accomplished via X-Box live. There could be tennis, football and many others. The person with the fastest thumbs could win a full ride scholarship!! I'm in! When can I try out, coach? :)

Just giving you a hard time, Dave. You are serious? How would this be conducted?

7800 is cheap enough for me and will allow me to keep on plugging along. Thanks for the post Michael.

Look, I am impressed with Aspen University. With Dave at the helm, they have caused the academic community to stand up and take notice ( with the EdD and MBA pricing). We can debate the merits of DETC versus RA all day long, but you all must admit, Aspen has us talking about it. Hopefully the football and cross country teams will be along shortly.

First, an open challenge concerning college athletics: When Madden 11 comes out, if you find me online on Xbox Live and challenge me to a game (retroDEdward), if you win and you are an Aspen student I’ll personally buy you your textbook for your next course. However if I win (and watch out I have been playing Madden for like 15 years) you have to send me in one of your past textbooks so I can donate it to another student.

Second, we need a mascot, I’m taking recommendations.

Not bad, The Aspen University Slopes. Hmm… I don’t know..
I was thinking maybe something a little more marketable, Aspen Antelopes.. some animal that starts with A to make for a good sounding pairing.. Aspen Ameba, I like that...

Mountain Goat or St Bernard with a barrel under his neck (to save skier on the Aspen slopes)

Aspen Peaks, Aspen Expedition, Aspen Conquest, Aspen Triumph........

Hard to put as a mascot but good names for football teams I believe. I second the mountain goat, definitely associated with Colorado and the mountains.

Quite true. You should have seen the Aspen graduation! It was really classy and well done. Students from nine different countries flew in, and we all had a great time, and got a chance to take pictures, eat good food, etc. Going with Aspen is no brainer.

Sounds like a no brainer. Good choice of schools. You could also save a lot money by buying internation edition book at AbeBooks Official Site - New & Used Books, New & Used Textbooks, Rare & Out of Print Books Just make sure the description states: Exact same as US edition. I bought all my books from there for my Aspen MBA.
