Are there any AJU students on the board? I am looking for information about their undergrad classes. I will be taking four courses this semester, so any help would be great.
I was a student at AJU for a semester. I transferred to Excelsior not because of any problems I had at AJU, but because I am so close to a BA I can finish it much quicker at Excelsior. The courses at AJU were rigorous, although some of the online unit exams were obnoxiously easy. The final exams are not to be taken lightly. They are tough. I took three courses at the same time at AJU, and if I had it to do over again I wouldn't have taken more than two at a time. There is a lot of reading and a lot of homework to do. At the end of the semester, I was thoroughly burned out. If AJU suits your needs I highly recommend them.
Not really. The final exams could contain questions from any of the material in the entire course. The final exam for English Comp II was to read "The Prince" ahead of time and then write an essay answering questions in the exam. I found that I always needed the entire allotted time to answer all of the questions in the final exams.
I was just wondering how best to study for the exams. I was reading some posts from MBA, MPA students. They all said the same thing, AJU is crazy hard, and some even dropped the program to go to other online schools. I'm a little worried.
The syllabus for each course listed the things that each student was expected to learn from the course, and those were the things covered in the exams. I found it more effective to study the review questions in the textbooks than any of the unit exam questions. As long as you know the material covered in the reading assignments you'll do fine. As difficult as the coursework was, I still finished the semester with a 4.0 GPA.
