Does anyone have information on Amberton University (formerly Amber University) in Garland, Texas? They are now offering Distance MBA degrees.
Hi, and welcome to the group... When I first looked at Amber they did not have all the MBA classes by distance (they did have two MS degrees just not the MBA's by diatance) Now it looks like they do offer all classes via distance. They also will accept 12 credits from other schools. This may not be the highest regarded MBA but it is one of the least expensive in the US. Heriot Watts costs have decreased and are much closer to Amberton's. Cal State Dominquez may also have a less expensive MBA as well. If I ever finish my COSC BS degree I will be looking much closer at Amberton's Masters in Human Relations and business or human resources and Training. Dan
If anyone has any info on or is attending Amberton University's online program, please let me know what you think about it. Thanks
Is Amberton regionally accredited? (I didn´t find any hints in their FAQ) BTW: does the name "Amberton" only sound stupid for my German ears, or also for English speakers?
Yes, it is, by SACS. See http://www.sacscoc.org/dtails.asp?instid=12480 It won't challenge Excelsior or Argosy, but it makes the top ten in my book. ------------------ Bill Gossett
Dear Bill, As I have said before, a similar but better name could have been "Alberton University", and this is not because of my name. My best regards, Karlos Alberto Lacaye [email protected]
