My PhD would be in Business Administration / Management. I don't really care for IT that much

The only issue is that General Business teaching is highly competitive and the PhD in Business is normally the minimum requirement for any University teaching position (adjunct included).

If you are planning just to teach general business, I would suggest to finish the PhD. If you are planning to be an adjunct in IT management, the MS should suffice provided that the market conditions increase at least to the level that they used to be 4 or 5 years ago.

    hmmm...

Unlikely scenario... With the current rate of IT graduates, I foresee it becoming even more competitive (in the economic sense - forget competitive salaries) in the next five years. Get in where you can as fast as you can, and get a degree while you work. This may mean sacrificing your habits like TV watching for an hour or two a day (or participating on this forum for that matter) but it may just give you enough time to speed up your studies and optimize your chances.
