I have been perusing this forum and sparsely responding when I thought I had something of value. I would like to thank the contributors of this board for INFORMATION. Based on information and recommendations I have read on this forum AND research I have done based on that information to enroll in the Ph.D. in Business Program at Touro University International. I look with great anticipation to starting the course work and interacting with the instructors. I want to thank everyone and I promise, I will try to give you a good feel for the experience. Also, THANKS DR. BEAR! Without your books, I would have never found the program at WIU. Someday, I would like to relay to you the feeling I had the day I got the letter that I had "met all degree requirements." Thanks, ALL!
Hi David, I have also just enrolled in the TUI Ph.D. BA program. How many and which classes are you taking this coming term? I am going to start with The Research Process. If it's manageable, I think I will aim for two classes the following term. I am looking forward to be talking to you in the class. Steven
Congratulations -- and thanks for the kind words. We have wondered here if Touro´s regional accreditation of a nonresident PhD was an anomaly or the herald of an avalanche of others or something in between. As far as I know, no one else has been actively offering a 100% nonresident regionally accredited doctorate. Maybe it was an oversight by Middle States after all! John Bear in Barcelona
keep us posted Thanks David! and Congradulations!!!! Please keep us posted. I too am looking at doctoral programs. I may choose Touro. I'd like to hear how things go? All the best!
When picking a traditional graduate school, the student looks to the course of study, the reputation of the school, the cost and the next step after completing the degree. Unfortunately, because of the dearth of DL programs, the student is forced to look at one or perhaps two programs and pick the lesser of two evils. When more programs come on line we will all be the better for it. I think, perhaps, the means to reaching this goal is for the traditional graduates of the schools to communicate the need to their schools, perhaps during the annual fund raising push..and accompanied by a nice check.
