Initial reaction to Canbourne is extreme scepticism (no accreditation, no faculty, no degree process, no clear location). Perhaps others will know more.

    Edit about 2 minutes later:

And they did! (See Dr Bear's post below.)

    Welcome aboard, BTW.

    Mr. or Ms. Ezzz:

    "i'll keep it short,
    what's with AED?"

A formerly useful news group, taken over, 4 years ago, by degree mill operators and apologists, and now of little or no use. DegreeInfo was started in order to carry on the good work that used to be present on A.E.D.

    "is this valid... http://www.uofcanbourne.org.uk/"

    No. Not even close.

    Ezzz,

Despite the fact that you already received an answer, few more points (actually, it is more because I found them typical to such a place or just funny):

    - Both their wages (http://www.uofcanbourne.org.uk/jobs.htm) and their GPA system (http://www.uofcanbourne.org.uk/academics.htm) are American, despite the fact that they pretend to be a British University.
    - All British academic institutions have .ac.uk suffix, not org.uk
    - If you look for the university's name online, you'd find only their site, plus this recognition site. Nothing more - no research done by faculty; no people whose CV states that they are alumnae; no news about the university, etc.

    The people who are mentioned:

    - A person who calls himself Lord of Coleshill. He is not listed in any peerage registery. Moreover, and this is really funny - in the site, the biography begins with naming him " Lord Paul of Coleshill" but then writes in the end: "Lord Vincent married his wife Cynthia in 1955, with whom he has moved 'homes' 37 times during his military service; they have two daughters, one son (in the Army) and 8 grandchildren.". Oh Lord, decide on your name!

    - Also no mentioning of the other guy online.

But back to the peer. The Field Marshal Sir Richard Frederick Vincent, GBE, KCB, DSO, is the Baron Vincent of Coleshill. Is it possible that the Filed Marshal forgot his name?

John Bear: Just about every one of them.
