That is interesting. I wonder whether York's proprietor is personally associated with those things or whether he's just ripping them off.

My take on York is that it's being run from outside the United States, probably by somebody who isn't a native English-speaker. The Alabama and more recent Los Angeles addresses are just his attempt to create a minimal US presence whose ostensibly "American" degree-granting powers can then be transferred to affiliates elsewhere in the world, Preston-style.

The York text that you quoted also appears on several Preston-associated websites, so York's owner seems to be well aware of its business model.
