Why is this forum still open?

Why not replace this forum with one that has web sites of accredited DL institutions (domestic and foreign)- would be helpful to people who are inquiring about such matters?

Oh, we may archive it one of these days. But it is a delightful read to see all of the wacky stuff that Sheila and Enrique did to try to shore up their less-than-wonderful institution...

It is also a very good guide to show the very thin line between out right fraud and the state-approved schools. Consider the relative difference between MIGS and some of the other programs. If you look at the information from 2 years ago, what was the "preceived" (at that time) difference between MIGS and KWU or similar.

A little less greed and a little more honest work and the story could have turned out very different.

Starting up a new private school is very difficult. I likened it to climbing up a very steep slope. If there is a slip then the institution slips into degree mill land. It appeared to me that MIGS could have been a very serious attempt at starting a real distance learning college. MIGS stumbled and slipped into degree mill land.

For what it's worth I agree that the MIGS forum is long passed its 'use-by' date and serves absolutely no useful purpose. Except perhaps to remind some Senior Members that they were once enrolled with MIGS.:)

Why don't the people who are doing the most complaining about this particular forum (MIGS) rush off and start one of their own, on whatever topics happen to interest them?
  7. I understand the Liberian Ministry of Education is flexible on academic rigor :D
