I started a thread on Sudan that actually includes information on what's happening, so I don't know what the purpose of this thread is because it's not really saying anything.

What do you mean by humanists? If you're only counting those who are affiliated with humanist organizations or have studied what humanism is to practice it, then there aren't that many humanists. Among Gaza protesters, there have been atheists, spiritual but not religious, Christian, Muslim, Jewish, and other individuals within that group. If you ask them why they do not care about any other genocide, they will say that the U.S. is not spending their tax dollars to support those genocides.

If you ask me, I will tell you that this response is bullshit. Many of these people are anti-capitalist, but they do not care that their country has made billions from selling weapons to the UAE while the UAE is supporting a genocide in Sudan. They do not care that their iPhones, Google Pixels, Samsung Galaxies, tablets, electric vehicles, etc. have cost millions of lives in the DRC. The truth is that, if Israel was not the perpetrator of the genocide in Gaza, these people would not give one iota. I've talked to many of these individuals, and some of them are pro-Russia and pro-China even though Putin has committed war crimes against Ukraine, and China has been persecuting the Uyghurs. There's also another component. Many people in leftist spaces either say they've been diagnosed with a neurodevelopmental or mental health disorder, or they believe they have one. These individuals tend to hyperfocus on one issue. It's almost as if the victims of these war crimes are game pieces to them rather than humans. They don't care about Gaza as much right now despite the fact that the IDF is still committing war crimes. What is craziest is that they would say things like, "At least Trump is anti-war and hasn't committed war crimes." The Yemeni civilians that Trump took part in killing mean nothing to them. They don't see the Yemeni people as actual humans.

Because he's a white supremacist and so are his supporters. A growing number of people on the right are also pretending to care about Gaza, but that's only because they're anti-Semites. It's actually quite odd for a Jewish American to be aligned with the modern Republican Party. They vote overwhelmingly for liberals. Trump is a German descendant who promoted anti-Jewish conspiracy theories, idolizes Hitler, and preaches eugenics. It has to be mental illness to be an ethnic/racial minority and Trump supporter.

I agree that Trump is a white supremacist. Most white supremacists are Republican. I wouldn't say though that most Republicans are white supremacist. Of course, polling racists is extremely difficult. I'd guess that most racists don't even believe that they are racist.

Yes that is rare. It is unusual for Blacks to be Republican, let alone being a Trump supporter. I know that conservative Blacks must usually vote Democrat because there has to be far more conservative Blacks than what usually vote Republican.
