    ITU EMBA is just a certificate program consist of 6 training courses of 20 hours each including Effective Project Management, Executive Coaching, Team Building, Productive Leaders, Best Practices of Succession Planning, and Executive Leadership. The program cost $2000 and the brochure can be viewed here;

    http://www.itu.edu/docs/Executive%20MBA%20brochure.doc

    Now notice how a certificate EMBA is marketed as a Executive MBA program in Malaysia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, China and perhaps many more countries;

    Vietnam
    http://www.minerva-education.org/1024/programs.asp?page=proituemba

    Malaysia

    This so called MBA program costs $7,000 (US Dollars). A large number of students being lured into this program on assumption that they are enroll for an accredited MBA (ACICS Accredited). This is total rip off and fraudulent and I sincerely hope we can create awareness among students and good people in USA should do something to stop this.

    Why can't you get ACICS as worked-up about all this as you seem to be? I mean, in another thread you demonstrated that you know how to email them and get a response. Are you saying that this USDE- and CHEA-approved national accreditor either doesn't care about ITU's alleged shananigans; or, if it does, that it won't contact ITU and warn it that its accreditation could be in jeopardy if it continues them?

    Dear Danny,
    I think the best way to get the best information is just write in to ACICS and look what is their respond. This will definately show you what is going on with ITU....

    ACICS perhaps take longer time to react as compared to DETC. I have made complaint to ACICS and waiting for the response.

    In the meantime, here is the news from ACE:

    From: [email protected]

    Date: 31 August 2005

    There is nothing that ACE can do other than request that the school not use our name and logo in association with accreditation. We have no power to compel any institution to do anything they do not wish to do. ACE is a non-profit advocate for higher education.

    I recommend that you contact the state board of education in California. They have the power and authority to act upon your complaint. You can also make a complaint to the school's accreditor, Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) at www.acics.org.

    So, until then, you torture us, here? (A rhetorical question.)

    So, then, there you have it, Danny... your best recommendation yet.

    Please go and do that, instead of trying to make your case so vociferously -- and repetitively -- here. I'm sure we'll be glad to know how it all came out in the end, once it actually does so. Do report back, won't you?

    In the meantime: Enough about ITU, already!

    For a while anyway... okay? Please?
