What does U.S.G.E.D.A. stand for?

Does anybody know what U.S.G.E.D.A. stands for? Which U.S. government agency is it? No clue on google. Thanks.

 

Conceivably the United States Government Economic Development Administration (www.eda.gov/) -- but that's an unusual usage of the "USG" part. Where did you see it used?

The Wikipedia article on this agency (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economic_Development_Administration) does not suggest anything related to using their name on a camera. And the EDA seal does not look like the one on the camera.

OK, so I wrote to the head of E.D.A. to ask if they were ever known as U.S.G.E.D.A. His reply:
