"About a month ago we hired a person who is doing an outstanding job for our company. This person had a Master of Business Administration from West Clayton University. So they get my vote." jaer57

"The person we hired that had a degree from West Clayton is still with us and is now the GM for our sister company....Not sure about the other comments regarding prior 2009, but we would hire someone again pre 2009....I was speaking to the CEO of one of our vendors in San Diego, topic turned into looking for top executives, and funny thing was he hired a lady years ago that is now their Vice President, and she got her degree from West Clayton. Lagit (sic) or Not, they are doing something right." jaer57

"From what I understand talking to them after seeing this again, they know that what ever they say there is no way they would be fired, they said they had to have work experience, also other schooling and or certificates added to work experience also helped to get the degree, they couldn't just buy it." jaer57

They bought a piece of paper.
    They misrepresent their education level.
They got a degree from a diploma mill.
The quotes above speak for themselves.
I stand by what I said over 1 1/2 years ago.

Anyone can print up a diploma and a fake transcript. So, why do people bother purchasing them? Because, in doing so, they acquire a co-conspirator--a wingman--for the lie they're perpetrating. This became even easier with the development of the internet and (much later) cryptocurrencies.

There was a time when these co-conspirators would have to use very traceable methods. They had to place ads in papers and magazines, maintain mailing addresses, and bank surreptitiously.

The operator of one such sham, Columbia State University, advertised in the back of USA Today, maintained a mailing address in Louisiana, forwarded mail to a warehouse in Southern California, and banked there as well. He lived as a fugitive on a boat just south of the border in Rosarito Beach. His wife would cross into the USA weekly to run the checks and credit cards through the bank, then bring the cash back to him in Mexico. All great fun until he got caught coming into the US. He served a couple of years for running a fake beauty school, but I don't think he ever caught charges for CSU.

Those were halcyon days for both distance learning and diploma mills. Now, both are pretty routine.

Wow. . again wow …. the intensity of negative vibes, you all need to take a chill pill and relax.

This post isn’t about me, and you all made it about me.

Here is the original post from “Jaer 57” Mar 11, 2009 :
    -----
We just interviewed a potential mechanical engineering consultant who received his degree from West Clayton University. After viewing their website, and searching around a little, it seems that this school is not only unaccredited, but claiming accreditation from fake accreditors. Anyone have any experience with them?

And all I did was answer it with:

About a month ago we hired a person who is doing an outstanding job for our company. This person had a Master of Business Administration from West Clayton University.
    So they get my vote.

Ok…., probably should have left out the “So they get my vote”, and should have said “but they weren’t hired because of the degree”

And everyone else should have answered “Jaer 57” with: We also looked into it and the degree doesn’t look legit, and we don’t recommend hiring someone with a degree from there.”

But instead the Hate and Anger, wow … and then the post seems was mostly about me and no longer about Jaer 57’s question.

Note: Also above I contradicted a little of what I was saying about you all, and should have left out “you all need to take a chill pill and relax”, but hey, why not poke the bear a little, ha ha.

And once again, this post isn't about me, or who we hire, and how the company I'm with is run, or our HR department, etc... it's about Jaer 57 asking a question and should be related to that persons original question.

Since no disinterested person would care about a question someone asked sixteen years ago enough to follow up every few years just to bring it to top of mind, I'm assuming this is a SEO gambit and acting accordingly.
