Anyone going to Fabulous Las Vegas for the WAUC conference?

They're all going to sit around in the mail forwarding service that is their world headquarters?

If anyone needs a Vegas fix, consider AACRAO (the registrars and admissions officers) next April there. Thousands of real schools. Lots of interesting presentations and workshops (including three by Allen Ezell and yours truly).

But I would LOVE to hear a report from the WAUC "conference."

    Anyone live in/near Vegas?

Don't real conference announcements provide information like the hotel or conference center where they are going to be held?

I agree with Jeff. Does anyone on Degreeinfo live in Las Vegas? If so, it might be interesting to try to attend this thing and report what you find. Was the conference even held? If so, how many people were there, what institutions did they represent and what activities took place?

I just hope that come December, Maxine and her friends aren't too exhausted from searching for Atlantis.

Check out this exciting opportunity directly below the conference announcement:

Learn underwater diving techniques, underwater photography and ancient history (including archaeology) in Europe during the fall of 2003. Complete package includes six weeks of schooling, college credit, room, board and airfare. Only 25 qualified students will be accepted. Sponsored by American World University.

Looks like Maxine has her students financing her vacat... oops, research expedition.

You have gotta prepare for those grueling WAUC conferences somehow. How better than diving in Europe?

Reminds me of a slogan I read on the side of a plumber's utility truck the last time I was in Vegas:
A Royal Flush Beats A Full House
