I Got the Information in my Email from a Local Agent:

Warnborough College was awarded the prestigious Investor in People (IiP) standard in April 2005. IiP is a UK government-backed initiative to help organisations to be more successful by adhering to good practice for the training and development of staff.

Vice-President and IiP team leader, Dr Julian Ng spent the last year preparing for the audit through the Going for Growth programme. He said: “Achieving this quality standard reflects the hard work administrators and faculty put into our commitment to the College and to students”.

Warnborough College has a long history of commitment to academic quality, student welfare and staff development. IiP provides a practical tool for internal and external reviews for continuous improvement. Dr Ng added: “The benchmark for achieving IiP is high, and not easily awarded. We have an excellent quality IiP profile, and we intend to maintain standards at all levels. Students can be assured that Warnborough is at the forefront in what it provides.”

President Dr Brenden Tempest-Mogg said: “Providing a good working environment, team spirit, job satisfaction, and opportunities for personal training and development are passed to our students, thus enriching academic and personal care for those studying here.”

The IiP auditor noted in his report that outcomes from the Warnborough work done for ISO9001:2000 and for Investors in People standards, “were clearly in evidence – people development processes in particular have been strengthened There is a very open culture (staff talked of a genuine ‘open door’ policy), and internal auditing systems not only promote continuous improvement, but also encourage staff to embrace change. All staff demonstrated an appetite for improvement.”

Many UK universities and colleges have achieved IiP status, and Warnborough is proud of meeting the requirements for this award.

What makes you think that Warnborough College as a degree-granting institution exists? We find it on no lists of British or Irish colleges. From which nation does it have degree-granting authority?

Why, Ireland, of course! But do remember it is a self-validating, self-accrediting, self-authorising institution and does not belong to any jurisdiction as its degree granting authority is vested in its own articles of incorporation which allow it to....well, do anything in education it wishes.

    Cheers,

    George

I never suggested nor think that these mill including Warnborough University have any degree-granting authority. They are just printing mills selling certificates with added values attached like IiP, ISO 9001 and god knows what more nonsense.

On the other hand, what do you think about those institutions having degree-granting authority from Hawaii, Wyoming and Alabama? I think they are bigger mills than all!

What about those mills who are incorporated as company with the name UNIVERSITY in Delaware, Montana and Mississippi. What authority are they having to award degree?
And how do you suggest stopping those mills?

And then there are those accredited diploma mills like California ITU having only given authority to award bachelor and master degrees but continue to offer doctorate (DBA) outside USA. In addition these universities market their “CERTIFICATE EMBA PROGRAM” as full Executive MBA outside USA.

My humble suggestion is that you should list ITU on Oregon Web Site highlighting that their EMBA and EDBA are not recognized.

All of us even here in Malaysia appreciate your good work and the efforts made by yourself in creating awareness for students wanting to enroll for distance learning programs and your web site in Oregon is no doubt a very good reference for all of us.

    Dear Danny Ng.

You posting here seems to be really mature and experienced, which means you know much more about the Warnborough college. Well, I am from Nepal and one of the agency partner of Warnborough College let say one of the big victim and also so many victim from Nepal, India and Bangladesh so i am going to make an association of victim and going fight to get the justice.
I am going run this campaign to know more about their bad act done in past and at present and also would like to get best suggestion.
As we are educational agency from here and we enrolled many students for that college under TIER 4, college become suspense on Jan 2010, later one lifted, but most of the student face refusal with the college reason now college not willing to make refund of the tuition fee paid by the students. They are saying they no money to re-pay now so that a per their advice we need to wait for uncertain time to increase their cash flow so that they may refund us. It is really doggy game they are playing with the future of the students as well as have so many fact and figure already collected about them to make all our case genuine, so if anybody wants to associate with us i would like to welcome you all.
I am waiting for the better suggestion and response from you.
