So this question is prompted by the fact that NPS (The U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, in California) hosts the hybrid DHS Masters in Homeland Security program.

My question is, besides the DHS Homeland Security degree, are there any other online Graduate Degrees or certificates hosted by NPS or any of the various War Colleges or Staff Colleges that a member of the general public can sign up for? ... in other words, is there anything that someone who is not an active duty or reserve 04-06 or GS 12-15 can sign up for? (I'm wondering if it is possible because some programs didn't used to even require a Secret...though may have required a NO-FORN check)

    Has anyone tried this?

The Staff and War colleges (both non-resident and residential) limit civilian participation to those employed by the military. They're not open to the general public.

Figured that Sir, I was thinking the dozens of other programs the various school houses offer. I believe you were a base education specialist....

I know I can't enroll in a correspondence course in missile maintenance, but didn't know if something like a course in management from AFIADL, finance from NPS, or a foreign language intro class from the Presidio was a possibility for a US citizen. For example, I know the Holm Center at Maxwell used to offer a e-class to the public on the value of airpower, but that's been a few years ago.

I think you have to be a Department of Defense employee or at least a Federal employee to participate in any of these programs. There is a popular one, is Defense Acquisition University.

I believe they refer to themselves as the Department of WAR now. Please no deadnaming.
