    Tuition reductions are not retroactively applied. Tuition reductions are applicable to tuition only and do not apply towards books, materials and other supplies or fees needed for a course. Students are responsible for other non-tuition costs, including but not limited to university and program and custom-related fees and taxes. Any tuition reduction will end with any change or completion of current program or Start Date. Subsequent tuition reductions will be based upon what is being offered at that time. Any unused portion due to a break in attendance will be forfeited.

    Walden may change the tuition reduction offered hereunder at any time, but such change will not affect the tuition reduction for students who are currently enrolled at Walden and using the existing tuition reduction. All tuition reductions, grants, or scholarships are subject to specific eligibility requirements. Contact a Walden University Enrollment Specialist for details.

    Tempo Learning is $2,250 for 3 months of the MBA. So $9,000 a year that you're enrolled, and even at 2 years there will be savings over the traditional program: https://catalog.waldenu.edu/content.php?catoid=151&navoid=48885

    Walden really doesn't make it easy to find the cost per credit hour of their programs from their site, but they do list it in the catalog: https://catalog.waldenu.edu/content.php?catoid=58&navoid=8076

    $805 per credit hour of the MBA. 805 x 30 = $24,150

    So what's the catch, will your Academic Coach not actually let you move through the material at warp-speed to keep the money flowing?

    It does seem wise to avoid situations where the other party has perverse incentives. Doubly so in this case when an AACSB-accredited MBA can be had for less elsewhere.

    I am in the Tempo MBA program now. I signed up for the free term. I am probably not the Warp speed type. But I was able to add 9 credits to my plan. You have to agree to finish at least 3.75 credits each term. I have been advised that if I manage to finish the 9 credits before the term is over, I can add more. I also found that there is a management certificate that includes 4 of the MBA classes. So it seems that if I am REALLY ambitious, I could pound out a certificate in that one free term. (I probably won’t be able to work quite that fast). But if I can at least get half of it done, then buy one more term, and get all those certificate credits done, I would be cool with that too. The Certificate is not technically a Tempo program, BUT all of the classes are part of the My Tempo MBA. I have been advised that if I do finish all of those courses and request they be applied to the certificate, I can do that. An MBA would be great... but I have a budget that I want to maintain. So... one or two terms is my max after the free term.

    That seems reasonable. 9 credits in 1 term, would mean 30 credits in 4 terms, or one year and the $9000. That puts it in line with WGU.

    It is a nice interface. I started May 3rd. The only thing I finished so far are the 5 zero credit competencies. From what I understand, these are required for those without a previous business degree. They weren’t too hard to get through. Now I am working through my first for-credit competency. I hope to finish it this week. Keep in mind that I work two jobs, have a family (including a new puppy) and have very little free time. So I am an example of working slowly at the moment. I do not think I will get 9 credits done.
