Walden applying for specialized accreditation in 3 areas

    I definitely agree. This brings accountability and a collaboration that can only make their programs better. I applaud their efforts, as well.

    This is very responsible move by the university
    WU will open additional doors and opportunities for their graduates.

    Walden known to me as a fine DL school and the DL degrees will enjoy higher level of recognition.

    Assuming they achieve these accreditations, but until then, Walden is still an RA only school. So far Capella is the only virtual university with a CACREP accredited masters program in counseling. If Walden gets it they will become the second distance learning school to do so.

    I wished Walden also made preparations to apply for APA accreditation. Their clinical doctoral program in psychology appears to be very rigurous, quite similar in rigor to those at Capella and the Fielding institute; all three schools require an academic year in residence for these programs.
