This is a gross distortion of the situation. Israeli defense activities are a response to Palestinian terrorism and ongoing attacks on Israel. The conflict is long-standing, with wars fought both historically and in the present. You are oversimplifying the reality.

However, the cycle of violence must end. Hamas should never be allowed to govern Gaza or rebuild its military capabilities. Palestinian terrorism has aimed to destroy Israel since its inception and targets the West as well. This is deeply rooted in the ideology of radical jihad.

While this is true we must not forget that there are two sides to the story. Many in Israel, for example the more radical parties that are part of Netanyahu's government, are Islamophobic and hate Palestinians. The hatred on both sides is feeding the problem. The only way to break the cycle of hatred is to stop hating. Now my opinion is that the hatred coming from Iran is the worst of the problem but I believe that Israel stealing Palestinian land is an example of the problem coming from the Israeli side.

I saw an interview on TV with a 20 year old Palestinian male. His parents and two of his siblings had been killed in the bombing. He worked in a restaurant prior to the war. His dream was being a chef. He needed to support himself and his two surviving siblings. He has never held a gun. But, the only path forward he saw was trying to be hired by Hamas. We are at a critical tipping point. If we can give this fellow and others like him another path besides hatred, he will take it. Otherwise the cycle of hate continues.

Was the Nakba also a response to Palestinian violence?

Nakba, has conflicting narratives, if you ask Israeli Arabs who didn't listen to the orders of the Arab Armies for the Arabs of Palestine to leave to camps until Arab Armies destroy new Israel, real accounts for large displaces numbers of Arabs of Palestine, by orders of Arab armies, and civil war that intensified in 1947, between Jews and Arabs of Palestine, when Arabs paraded with Jewish heads on the sticks in Jerusalem, and yes displacement by Israeli forces as well - The Nakba remains a sensitive subject because it ties into questions of responsibility, historical justice, and the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian Arabs conflict. Both sides have deep emotional and political investments in the narrative. And yes, there was also a Jewish Nakba, explosion of Jews from Arab countries, just for being Jews, 900,000 Jews, lost everything, their homes, and were expelled from Arab countries.
Jewish communities faced property confiscation, restrictive laws, imprisonment, and violence in countries such as Iraq, Egypt, Yemen, Libya, and Syria.
Notable events include the Farhud pogrom in Iraq (1941), attacks in Libya (1945), and anti-Jewish riots in Egypt during the 1948 war and many more and a few massacres against Jews in Hebron, Jaffa etc, Hagana retaliated, etc.

Yes but, Trump lies more than he tells the truth. That was just another of his lies.

Mudar Zahran knows his history and basically has stated the truth about Jordan
This is a video of Mudar Zahran who was born from Palestinian parents, giving the Solution to the Israel-Palestine Conflict. Mudar Zahran is a Jordanian who has been described as the secretary general of the alleged Jordanian Opposition Coalition. Born to parents of Palestinian origin in 1973, Zahran moved to live in the United Kingdom

So, overthrow the king of Jordan and have all of Jordan be a Palestinian state? Easy peasy!

Thanks for finally solving this problem!

Oh wait, Mudar Zahran is a nobody that lives in the UK. Why should we believe a word he says?

    quote:
According to The Jerusalem Post's deputy managing editor Caroline Glick, she was contacted by three of her acquaintances in October 2017 who discouraged her from writing in support of Zahran. "They did not coordinate their calls. Each one told me independently that Zahran is not a credible source. He is not a leader of an opposition movement. He doesn't have an organization. He has multiple websites, they said..." Her sentiment was shared by other Israeli right-wing writers and publications including the Elder of Ziyon blog.[1]

    Chicken and egg.
The situation between Israel and Hamas is complex and deeply rooted in a long-standing conflict, primarily over territorial disputes.
While Hamas is a symptom of the broader issues, and I acknowledge that violence from all sides (Palestinians, Iran, Lebanon, Yemen, Israel etc.) contributes to the cycle of conflict.
The core of the violence today stems from ongoing terrorism, particularly from jihadist groups, and Israel's efforts to defend its population.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are tasked with protecting Israeli citizens, and their actions are often a response to threats posed by these groups.
The ongoing violence is, unfortunately, a product of the larger regional conflict and the wars between various peoples in the Middle East.

As for rebuilding Gaza, it's a difficult question. Hamas controls a large portion of Gaza, with an estimated 25,000 militants, and they have stockpiled resources underground that could sustain them for over a year. Furthermore, not all hostages have been released, and tensions remain high.
Given these circumstances, the risk of further conflict makes the prospect of rebuilding uncertain.
Potential investors may hesitate to rebuild, knowing the situation could escalate again.

The sooner Palestinians move away from violence and terrorism, the sooner they can build a path toward a better future and an independent state.
Israel has proven time and again that it can to be a partner for peace, but lasting progress can only come when both sides are committed to a peaceful solution.

Gaza really needs to be rebuilt. Those poor people are living like rats. I'm not so sure though that rebuilding should begin until we can be sure that Hamas won't get any of the rebuilding funds.

I suspect that the USA won't be involved as long as Trump is in office though. So I guess we'll just be spectators over the next four years.

The first thing that Hamas will do is use the provided water pipes to create new rockets to shoot at Israel. As to hospitals, schools etc., all will become hybrid terror infrastructure.
If Hamas remains in control of Gaza, as Bill said - "those poor people are living like rats" is the reality.

Is this before or after they make bombs out of condoms?

    Translating for you:

Trump repeated the claim the next day.

“We identified and stopped $50 million being sent to Gaza to buy condoms for Hamas,” Trump said. “They’ve used them as a method of making bombs.”
Not that bombs made out of condoms, what Trump said is the 50 million USD was used to make bombs, the money was misused by Hamas to produce bombs.

The contractor identified by the government as the recipient of the funding said it provides hospital services in Gaza, -( i.e also fund Hamas headquarters and command centers in hospitals.)

A White House official directed reporters to X posts by State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce, who wrote on Jan. 28, “American taxpayer dollars spent overseas should be spent wisely, and for the benefit of Americans. The pause in foreign assistance has allowed the @StateDept to prevent unjustified and non-emergency spending.”

The first example Bruce offered: “Condoms. Prevented $102 million in unjustified funding to a contractor in Gaza, including money for contraception.”

The organization has received more than $68 million from the U.S. Agency for International Development, or USAID, to support IMC’s medical operations in Gaza since the start of the Israel-Hamas war on Oct. 7, 2023, the statement said. That funding has supported the operation of two field hospitals that treat about 33,000 patients each month.
