Italy arrested 3 Algerians affiliated with Al Qa'ida for terrorist plots against the US, including attacks against stadiums and other locales where people mass.

"Italian Interior Minister Giuseppe Pisanu said the planned attacks would have targeted stadiums, ships and railway stations, and the terrorists' goal, he said, was to exceed the devastation caused by 9/11."

They were apprehended because of domestic wiretaps.

This story made headlines in Europe and elsewhere in the world. But not the US.

The Philly Inquirer published an AP story that made no mention that the US was targeted.

    Curious, no?

Right-wing media critics think they know why: such real news would undermine the hyperventilating MSM line of Bush infringing on American privacy and demostrate its benefits to us instead. All the news that fits the MSM's agenda politics.

I ran a google search on the story and came up with Wash Post coverage, but couldn't access it. Otherwise the above account account appears credible: Turkishpress.com, The Guardian, the VOA all covered it, as did a Pakistani news source.

BDS bias? Or leftist bias? Or just making up the news? Shamefully, pick any one. I mean, it can't have been missed because of busy holiday "news!"
