UPDATE ON SOUTH AFRICAN THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY DOCTORAL PROGRAMME..

    www.satsonline.org

From: General Newsletter 9 October 2008

    ---------------------------------

    "D.TH. PROGRAMME GROWS RAPIDLY

In just 10 months since we launched our accredited Doctor of Theology programme, we have already enrolled 22 students! We are excited about this rapid growth as it confirms our belief that there is a great need for a Biblically based, distance education programme at this level.

SATS has employed a team of highly qualified, experienced supervisors, all of who have a strong track record of academic excellence at the highest level. Students can choose to undertake research either in the field of Biblical Studies or Practical Theology. The D.Th is a thesis only programme in that there is no coursework and no exam.

If you would like more information you can go to http://www.satsonline.org/satsonline/index.php?q=node/6934 or contact our Postgraduate Regiatrar [email protected]"

    Also..

SATS is "proud to announce the launch of a unique project entitled "Theopedia for Africa". Using the same software as is used by Wikipedia, SATS is going to develop a "Theopedia" with the focus on African Theology. As you know, the focal points of Christianity are rapidly shifting away from the west and onto the global south and if aftrica is going to take its place as a leader of the Christian faith, it needs to raise up theological scholars and leaders. Very few people know anything about African Christianity, its leaders, its writers and theologians. Theopedia for Africa hopes to remedy that situation.

Now, if you would like to take on the task either of administering the site, or of being a contributor or moderator of articles, kindly contact [email protected] for more information. In the spirit of wikis, but more importantly, as a service to the Kingdom, these positions of responsibility will not be paid. However, your contribution to God's Kingdom through this ministry will be of inestimable worth."

    Thanks, Haggai.

I see that SATS also is getting into book publishing.
