I knew you were going to say that. Ok. Here's the thing, TESC/EC may not be the best college for you. Here's why. TESC/EC are stars because of a zero residency and unlimited transfer policy. Student loans are for people taking courses (6 credits per semester) and that money does not pay for CLEP/DSST - which is out of pocket. You'll be paying TESC prices, which is $250 per undergraduate credit for a degree you could get elsewhere for 1/3 the cost. Also, if you tested out, you'd disqualify yourself from student loans. I don't see a single compelling reason to enroll at TESC or EC for your degree in your situation. I'd urge you to rethink this.

You need 10 credits. You're about to pay $2700 enrollment fee plus 4 quarters of 6 credits @ $250 = $8,700 plus whatever else you owe... for an associate's degree
People starting from scratch can use CLEP to earn that same degree for about $4500

Go back to your old school complete your associate degree with them. Even at $200 per credit, you are looking at $800 (balance due) plue $2000 = $2800

Charter Oak may be affordable, but it's not quite to the point of charity. :)

Liberty is a great school for online students. The staff is very supportive and helpful, and they are quite receptive to course substitutions, if you request them.

I can't go back to my old school not now that I'm working full time. My old school is about 35-40 miles away they don't offer online courses for the classes that I will need. That's why I'm trying to finish up online. Besides that, they won't let me enroll to finish, since I have a balance that's not paid in full yet. I really don't want to put my education on hold now while I can finish paying them off with my payment plan and getting my degree at the same time.

Roger Williams will let you attend for a semester or two without having official transcripts on file.

You can take courses for credit without a transcript at a great many schools that offer DL. That is what I did to complete requirements for my Excelsior BS degree.

UC System extention programs another way to take classes without transcripts. All you have to do is pay the fee and you are set. I really enjoyed my SEO class through UC Irvine and highly recommend them.

I think Colorado State online classes are the same way.

UC Berkeley also offers distance learning courses for academic credit.
Course Catalog - UC Berkeley Extension

But for courses applicable to an associates degree those offered by Clovis are some of the lowest cost courses available.

Has anyone ever went to St. Leo? I'm having trouble getting in contact with them. Maybe its time for good old fashioned phone calling?

Hi LilKaty24, did you ever get into a school without your official transcripts?
