Does anyone have familiarity with the MPH program offered by University of Liverpool? I'd also be interested in hearing from U of L students/alum in other programs. How has your experience been with this school? How long did it take (or will it take) to complete your program? Any roadblocks along the way? Thanks,
Because you are in the USA it would be a mistake to earn a MPH that is not accredited by CEPH Home | Council on Education for Public Health Many jobs will not hire non-CEPH MPHs, There are numerous accredited distance MPHs. You can search on their site.
Nice to see that UC-Berkeley has an online MPH. It does require two on-campus residencies of eight days each, but that shouldn't be prohibitive for someone in the market for that degree.
Thanks. Yes, I'm well aware of the merits of searching for MPH programs w/ CEPH accreditation. I was just kicking the tires a bit on the U of L program, but I'll likely pursue something stateside w/ CEPH. I considered National University (who just obtained CEPH this year), but my adviser left me hanging when I couldn't log on to their website to submit my application! Go figure.
You should look at this thread also http://www.degreeinfo.com/nursing-medical-related-degrees/32828-mph-programs.html BTW, as I've posted under Free Online Courses, SUNY Albany offer a FREE certificate in public health. I dunno if one can use this for credit but it would certainly help an application I would think. http://www.degreeinfo.com/general-distance-learning-discussions/21709-free-online-courses-13.html
Personally, I would not choose National. Unless a private university is well-known, an online STATE university degree will be more acceptable. I went to SJSU.
