Has anyone had experience with the University of Dallas MBA program? The have an MBA completion program (http://www.thedallasmba.com/mbacompletion.cfm) that allows the transfer of up to 24 credits from another graduate program. The classes are twelve weeks instead of eight weeks in length, but I'm curious about other differences. I'm considering switching from Keller Graduate School of Management (where I have 24 credits) to the University of Dallas program because it has both ACBSP and IACBE accredidation and might have more prestige in the corporate world, while at the same time it's actually a little cheaper than Keller. There may have been a thread discussing this school in the past, but the seach feature seems to be broken again. Thanks for your feedback,
UD's MBA is quite well thought of around the Dallas area. I've known a few people who've completed the program and all have been very very happy with it.
I'd go for it... If you're in Texas, and the accreditation is better, I think it's a good deal. If it's cheaper and/or faster, all the better. I know nothing about University of Dallas but name recognition is what I advise people to focus on, assuming equal accreditation, for online degrees. If someone was in Seattle and asked the same question between Keller/DeVry (which is an acceptable program) and Seattle U, I'd say Seattle U. For someone in Seattle asking between Keller and University of Dallas, I'd say UDallas because of the accreditation. Good luck!
I'm surprised they'll take that many credits, but since they will and they're less expensive and more prestigious than Keller/DeVry, well sure, if I were in your situation I'd switch in a heartbeat. -=Steve=-
As a follow up: UD is one of the few universities in the country (maybe the only one) that has an IT Service Management specialization. As an MBA alum from UD (albeit years ago and in traditional format), I was - and remain - very pleased with the program. They had, at the time, the only PhD program in the "Great Books" and require undergrads to study such. Well respected worldwide -- plus you would be attending a respected Catholic University if you find that of value. At the time I attended, UD was branching into corporate partnerships with the likes of American Airlines, EDS, Allstate, etc. Matter of fact, one corporation, Allstate, had it's Vice President on the Board of Directors of the University. Thanks, this is the type work I currently do as an Operations Manager and I like the look of this specialization for the immediate future as ITIL is really driving the Telecom and IT Services Support industry. I would enjoy their Strategic Leadership specialization also, but suspect I would get more immediate impact from the ITSM concentration.
Looks Good I am currently with AMU and in the MBA. They have a concentration in IT Management, but it is only 3 classes of a concentration so I am not sure how helpful it will be. This sure is an intriguing program that UD has.... Cory
That's probably true. As far as I know, University of Dallas offers the only IT Service Management graduate program in the country. I was originally enrolled in ITSM until changing plans. In addition to an MBA with ITSM concentration, UD also offers an MS and grad certificate in the same major. In my opinion, UD is a fine institution. Main campus sits just up the street from Texas Stadium in Irving. During orientation Saturday, I found the GSM Dean, Dr. Whittington, to be quite charismatic and motivational. The profs are pretty good too. From my understanding, UD also holds the distinction as one of the few schools in which the graduate population significantly outnumbers resident undergrads.

Hi , i have done electronics and communication engineering and have a one year work ex. GMAT score is 590 and IELTS 8. I have got acceptance in oth University of dallas and universityof massachettes, boston. i know that niether my schools are great nor my score. giving GMAT again is not an option due some personal reasons. Kindly help me out as to what to choose.
