Hello!

Looking at RA options for a Masters degree in telecommunications or a focus on telecommunications.

I recently saw UMUC, and was looking for info, but many posts on this board about this school are very old.

So I thought I would start a new thread!

1. Will the masters program take a NA Bachelors (Mt. Sierra College Bachelors of Science in Telecommunications Technology)?

2. Is a GRE required for the school?

3. I saw some interesting reviews about this school, many saying good things, some saying bad things. One thing I heard is that a Thesis is not required, is this true? Is this common with Masters Programs? I thought a thesis was a big part of getting your masters (much like a large capstone project for a bachelors)?

I have been having trouble finding a program in telecommunications that will take my NA bachelors, thought through a lot of options to convert it to a RA degree, but I just want to start a masters as soon as I finish and not fool with all of that stuff.

 

Can't say for sure about your questions 1 & 2. But it is quite common to see non-thesis master's programs. That said, if one hopes to go on to a doctoral program, writing a master's thesis would be a good idea.

 

Cool. I am hoping they will take an NA degree!
