Yes. 25 million dollars and the petrochemical industry. My wife graduated with her MA from UH Victoria ( well it used to be). We just talked about this last night. I asked here if she requested her transcript, what school would it be. She answered, who knows. Lol
Why did they switch from one public university system to another? Texas A&M is bigger than University of Houston, but I don't know what the advantage is for a non-flagship campus.
It was pushed by a legislator and 25 million dollars. I think the petrochemical industry pushed too. A&M is a much stronger brand than UH. This is what gleaned from the newspaper articles.
