A reporter for U.S. News & World Report is looking for MBA graduates (and recruiters and career coaches) to provide input for for an article on the value of the Online MBA. Since a number of our colleagues here at Degreeinfo received their MBA through online study, I figured that this might be a good source of information for this reporter. Please see below:

Summary: Online MBA programs & recruiters
    Name: Menachem Wecker
    Category: Business and Finance
    Email: [email protected]
Media Outlet: U.S. News & World Report
    Deadline: 7:00 PM EST - 4 December

    Query:

With Delaware being the latest school to announce the creation of an online MBA, I'm looking for perspectives of executive recruiters, MBA graduates, and career coaches about the degree to which online MBA programs are valued in the business world.

I covered the topic over a year ago (Even As They Proliferate, Online M.B.A.s Remain Controversial - US News and World Report), and I'm looking for new movement since then, particularly if folks have data that can shed light on this area.

I'm at [email protected] (please email me either through HARO or that address, but not both) or on Twitter @mwecker.

    Thanks!

The upcoming launch (2013) of the University of Delaware (Lerner) online MBA will be in collaboration /delivered (privatized (?)) with the higher education service provider, Randy Best's Academic Partnerships, LLC (Dallas, TX –reported annual revenues of $43 million). “Academic Partnerships (AP) is a higher education service provider working exclusively with public universities in North America (expanded to 24 public colleges and universities) and outstanding institutions of higher learning around the world…” (E.g., increased enrollments via online education in both graduate and undergraduate programs)…

    Lamar State College-Port Arthur
    Texas A&M University-Commerce

The market is saturated with online MBA programs. What we really need is more AACSB accredited DBA programs with limited residency.
