That assumes that Trump has an attention span longer than 140 characters.

But seriously, that's why presidents have a weekly radio address. Trump has done a few, the most recent one is a bit overproduced for my tastes, but in that I suppose it's very much in keeping with the man himself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGt6lkLApuo

It's wrong to falsely label large people-groups, such as Russians, Ukrainians or Canadians, as being inferior or dishonorable.

As already mentioned, polls have become a bad joke. Every single time I've been asked for my opinion for a political poll, I've lied my ass off.

Yeah, as Trump said himself, he only believes in polls that are favorable to him, and his followers also believe. I believe the poll the poll that shows he has an approval rating of 35. I predict that his approval ratings will dip even further.

Abner, you also believed the pre-election polls, which you consistently cited as proof of Trump's impending electoral demise. LOL

Again with that tired old line? I guess we are no longer to believe any polls, except the ones that are favorable to El Trumpeta.

It's wrong to label large people-groups as anything one way or the other. Collectivism is lazy and inaccurate; judging people individually may be harder, but it's also the only way that's fair.

...and Muslims or Mexicans. Thank you for denouncing Trump's main campaign technique. Maybe someday you will bring yourself to denounce the man himself for the damage this approach dealt to the nation.

One of the most "honorable" nations is German: think of all the cultural and scientific contributions, or the fact that they constitute the majority of European royalty (including British and Russian royal houses), or their undeniable role in settling America. Yet you couldn't get away with just saying that during WWII; you'd have to denounce what they as a nation were doing at the time. Russian leadership, with apparent popular support, pursues a set of policies towards the West they openly call "hybrid warfare"; they are neo-colonialist meddlers and invaders to their neighbours. RT is just one of the well-financed instruments in this effort; so were the "active measures" to bolster Trump campaign. I get that you have reasons to be blind do all of this, but it makes your assessments skewed.

When the goal is to assess an individual, sure. But you still shouldn't use RT as an information source, merely because it is an influence tool masquerading as one.

Back in 1933, when Franklin Roosevelt started his "fireside chats", radio was high-tech new media, analogous to the internet today. Roosevelt's radio addresses allowed him to communicate directly with the people in his own words, not the journalists' words, to deflate rumors and misrepresentations and so on.

I applaud a president for using new media to communicate directly, avoiding the hordes of interpreters and spin-artists who intend to broadcast their own messages and not his.

The beauty of Twitter is that people can get their views out fast in easy-to-read form perfect for an age focused on text messages on cell phones.

The biggest disadvantage of Twitter is its character limit.

So I'd like to see Trump continue to post on Twitter, but to use the other resources of the internet as well, so as to take journalists out of the loop entirely.

That literally has nothing whatsoever to do with my point.

Stanislav, it is not prudent to label people-groups as being inherently inferior or substandard. Russians, Ukrainians and Mexicans are noble people-groups. There is no difference between them.

Several years ago, I decided never to discuss five issues with truckers. I subsequently decided never to discuss them with anyone.

The five issues? Politics, race, religion, sex, and sports.

As for the first issue, threads like this convince me that I made the right decision. :smokin:

Sorry, I have to ask. Do you seriously think you are revealing some new profound truth here? Or are you trolling?

It is worth repeating: RT network is part of the criminal Kremlin regime, with explicit purpose to harm the West. It is interesting that Trump supporters feel this instinctive urge to defend even this filth.
