The Constitution expressly forbids presidents from running for a third term. But that hasn't stopped Donald Trump from raising it repeatedly — and this time from an official White House event. “Should I run again? You tell me.” Trump said on Thursday before a crowded East Room filled with mostly Black supporters who were there for a Black History Month event held just a month into his second term. The crowd, which included elected officials, like Republicans Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina and Rep. John James of Michigan, as well as political appointees and athletes like famed golfer Tiger Woods, responded with chants of: “Four more years!”

Third term? If so, I'm sure Barry will crush him in the presidential debate!

I don't THINK this will be an issue. The President's term ends at a very specific date. Nothing save reelection can extend it.

Zelensky is staying in power without an election because of the war. I hope Trump doesn't think that could possibly work with our constitution. He's figured out that he has a whole lot more freedom to do what he wants in foreign affairs.

Maybe by a third term the price of eggs will go down.

    Maybe time to become vegetarian?
Forget egg prices! There's 1 more grocery staple that sits near record highs at $11.97 per pound
    Soaring beef costs
If you're wondering why the price of sirloin steak and ground beef is so high, the answer seems to be a shortage of beef cattle inventory.
And no, Trump didn't have time to reduce it in 4 weeks.
According to industry news publication Drovers, it's the smallest inventory in nearly 65 years.
Low inventory levels have been attributed to drought and high supply prices, leading farmers to trim their herds.

Trump doesn't need to run for office again. He can just stay.

Other than the U.S. Marshals (about 4,400 in number), all significant forms of enforcement lies in the Executive Branch. If a president actually wanted to stay in office, he'd need to replace the heads of those agencies and departments with cronies who would support his coup. Then, there would be nothing the other two branches could do about it. Hmm....let's see. That would be the military, CIA, FBI, Coast Guard, Secret Service, DHS (and ICE in particular), perhaps a few others.

But he would never do that, right? Huh? What? He already has? Oh. Nevermind.

Democratic Congressman Pushes to Reinforce Two-Term Presidential Limit

Representative Dan Goldman, Democrat of New York, will introduce a resolution to affirm Congress’s support for the 22nd Amendment limiting presidents to two terms in office, as President Trump and his allies continue to talk about pushing for a third term. “Once dismissed as a ‘joke’ by the media, Donald Trump’s repeated allusions to serving beyond his constitutionally mandated second term have now become standard G.O.P. orthodoxy,” Mr. Goldman said Thursday.
