Hi, i had transferred 120 credits at my undergraduate level from my country to another university (in another country), where i underwent another 47 credits to fulfill the requirements and was accordingly awarded a Bachelor's Degree. However, i am yet not been able to resolve the mystery of the Transcripts for credit transfer students. My query:

Since 120 credits were from previous university and 47 from the degree awarding university, so how the GPA would be calculated? Since both schools have their different grading schemes, how it really works?

Will there be one transcript having grades of both schools (if so, then will the degree awarding school has to assess and put in the transfer grades as per their own system)?

Or will the transcripts would be separate for both schools? If so, then what would be the CGPA in this option?

I my experience with transfer credits. . . . . . On one transcript there will be an area showing the transferred classes and their grades, then, on the same transcript, there will be a separate area for the classes you took at the degree awarding university.

Your GPA, should be, not always, be determined on the classes from the degree awarding university.

    Regards,
    Michael

Thanks Michael for the kind input. How the CGPA would be calculated in this case?
