Would someone with financial aid experience with Touro help me with a question? I have exchanged e-mails with Touro's Financial Aid Office and they assure me that being enrolled in one course qualifies as half-time and qualifies for Federal financial aid, such as grants and loans. Since their courses are 4 semester hours each, I don't understand how it can be classified as "half-time". Usually 6 semester hours is required to be considered half-time. I would appreciate input from someone who has experience with Touro. Thank you in advance.

That makes sense to me since they operate on 12 week quarters, rather than 16 week semesters. Normally a load of 9 graduate credits (semester hours) is considered full time for a 16 week semester, so translating that to a 12 week quarter it seems reasonable that 7 credits would be considered full time, while 4 would be considered half time. I don't see any reason to doubt the accuracy of what they are telling you; the financial aid office should know best since they determine eligibity and distribute the funds.
