Canada still lags behind terribly for online / distance learning - no thought given to Adult learners or those who are working and want to work towards a career change. The US and Europe is rather far ahead and accepting of non-traditional degrees.

I started my UC Masters three weeks ago and must admit that it has blown my expectations - the Prof genuinely seems to care (weekly online video sessions for class and he is there at least 20 minutes early and stays at least 20 - 30 minutes after class!) Definitely the best distance learning experience I have had (earned undergrad, Masters and several certificates via online/distance learning).
