Anyone on the forum have any opinions on this. As a Christian interested in Biblical Studies on a fixed income it seems to have some interesting ideas at least.

    Thanks.

In general, I prefer to not use the internet to talk about religion. However, every time I see questions about Bible colleges and whatnot, it always drives me BoNkErS, and it calls to my mind:

(Acts 4:13) When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.

(Revelation 22:17) Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.

(1 Corinthins 2:5; ) So that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power.

Degrees are not offered. The curriculum looks very good. I would certainly not call them a mill and would see no reason not to study their curriculum.

Thanks for the replies. It seems like the more research I do that there are a few really good low cost Bible Colleges and a lot of great free Bible studies.

For free online Bible training it's hard to beat Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary's free online certificate program:

    http://ockenga.gordonconwell.edu/ockenga/dimensions/

Top-rate scholars from GCTS, and if you complete all of the courses you receive a certificate from the school. (Note that unfortunately work done in this program doesn't transfer into other GCTS programs or other schools.) I have done a few of the courses but not even close to all of them yet! :)

Also if you have interest in apologetics BIOLA's distance study certificate is relatively inexpensive, $95 for each of the three courses (so $285 total), plus shipping fees etc:

    http://www.biola.edu/academics/sas/apologetics/certificate/distance/

It USED to be that completion of the certificate could be used for credit towards BIOLA's MA in Apologetics program (if you also did three additional essays) but I'm not sure if that is still an option or not.

I don't know if this has been mentioned in other threads, but Covenant Seminary has some free classes posted here. Also you can check out the Institute for Theological Studies for some course options as well.

Third Millennium Ministries is not an educational institution. They simply produce theological and biblical education materials in English as well as other major world languages. They don't grant degrees, but intend to provide resources to those who want the knowledge, as well as to those who are training others in contexts where seminary may not be a possibility.

If you want a degree, look at Reformed Theological Seminary's Virtual Campus. It's 90% online and fully accredited (ATS and SACS). I'm in the program now and think it's quite a good program.
