we're on the edge of a big snowstorm. 2 feet in my area. everyone is out buying milk and bread and eggs and such. it makes me think that tomorrow morning there's going to be a huge french toast festival or something. as for me i'll just be eating my cheerios.

all you northeast degreeinfo members stay buttoned up tight tonight and tomorrow. stay home and off the roads. stay safe. if you have to go out then bring your sled dog and your cell phone. better yet, just bag it and go out and make some awesome snow angels. i'll be on and off degreeinfo all day because I'M NOT GOING TO WORK!!!

It was around 50 and sunny here.

Tomorrow is going to be about the same.

It is supposed to be in the 60s by this weekend.

I'm going surfing tomorrow morning. I'm not sticking it to you or anything. Uh well, maybe I am. But on the other hand, I have to work tomorrow and you don't, hmmm.

Yeah, but aren't the summers there hot enough to melt lead?

I'm about 90 miles above El Paso. It has been a long time since I was here for a summer but remember the answer being yes, very much so. Fortunately for me, I will be out of here long before it gets hot.

Already snowed/iced in here in Georgia. We got about 5 inches of snow Sunday and Monday, plus a bit of freezing rain and more flurries today.

The college I work for has been closed the last two days; still closed tomorrow. And its the first full week of the quarter.

No problem. I know it's different all over the country, that's why I started the thread. I'll sleep late on Wednesday and then I'll do one of my favorite things. I'll go out jogging in the middle of the storm. No cars on the road. Very quiet. Just a mile or two is enough. Just me and the snow plows. Then it's back home. Some laundry and some writing. Silly TV and maybe a payperview movie. I just hope that everyone in my part of the country is careful on the roads.

At the moment there's 15" of snow in my driveway and it's still coming down. Sometime this afternoon I'll go out and clean off my Jeep, maybe take a little drive around town and check out the sights, see what's open. I went out to Blockbuster last night before the snow started and rented "The American" starring George Clooney so I'll be watching that today too. I generally like spy movies and so I'm hoping it's a good one.

Speaking of Houston, we found a place off of Spring Cypress and 249. Now we just need to get the house in Lufkin sold.

You're right, it was a bit slow at times. More sad than I expected. It reminded me a bit of "Up in the air" in that it really wound up being about loneliness and the yearning for relationship.

One of our local NPR stations plays classic radio programs on Sunday nights, and it was from that that I've caught episodes of shows like that. And I'm with you, my favorite is "Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar". He's still cool -- they ought to make a movie!

I've always thought that myself. There are thousands and thousands of hours of free programming on the net, my mp3 is loaded down. I got hooked on them as a child listening to 740 KTHR in Houston, I used to stay up late and listen.
