Thank you guys for the feedback regarding IUGS and NAB, pro and con. It was very helpful.

I shared this feedback, along with my impressions to my friend, and he believes that Ryokan College would probably best meet his needs even though this school is not accredited by an RA or National accreditor but approved by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education.

He likes the fact that Ryokan's doctoral program is synchronous, with live classroom participation, and the fact that this school has made application for accreditation with WASC. Although IUGS offers a shorter and easier route to the doctorate, he was uncertain about its NAB accreditation status. I discussed the option of California Southern University but he did not like the asynchronous mode of courses offered.
