Has anyone who majored in Liberal Studies/Social Sciences/Humanities taken TESC's capstone course? How did you come up with a project? I will be taking the course at the end of September and with coursework all over the map, I'm not really sure what sort of project/paper I will be expected to do.
I know this is an old topic, but I wanted to ask the same question. Has anyone taken LIB-495 for social science major or otherwise who can shed some light on the selection of a project? I'm tying to determine if I can pick a history topic like "The First Barbary War (1801-1805)" for a research project since the degree will be in social science. I have a BA Computer Science from TESC and will be completing my MSCS in the Fall from UIS. Basically if I take two DSST exams and the LIB495 capstone I will get my BA in Social Science. I wasn't going to do it, but with TESC per credit tuition it will cost $1500 tuition plus $200 DSST.
The per credit tuition? Are you still enrolled under the Enrolled Options Plan? If not, then I'm sure you know that enrollment costs around $3,000 for non-New Jersey students. The new per credit hour plan doesn't have an enrollment fee, but it has a 24-credit residency requirement. There are a few people on the other forum who either completed the capstone or are in it right now. CLEP Forum - CLEP Study - CLEP Testing - Study Guide and Strategies They say that you can pretty much write about anything. The topic doesn't even have to be related to your degree.
