The Distance Learning Business Degrees Web site lists Teikyo Post University as offering the following undergraduate business degrees via distance learning: Bachelor of Science in Management, Management Information Systems, International Business Administration, and Integrated Business.

From the TPU Online Web site:

    • Teikyo Post University has experienced a number of transformations since it was founded as the Mattoon School of Shorthand in 1890. At one time Post Junior College and, later, Post College, in May of 1990 the school became affiliated with the worldwide Teikyo University Group. The affiliation resulted in a name change - from Post College to Teikyo Post University - and dramatically expanded the institution's mission and scope. From a predominantly regional business college, Teikyo Post University became an affiliate of one of the world's largest international education consortia. An education that is internationally focused is essential for success in today's ever changing global community.

The owner of Teikyo Post University, The Teikyo University Group, is made up of six foundations, quite a few undergraduate and graduate universities (including Salem International University and Teikyo Loretto Heights University), and a number of specialized schools and institutions. They run the largest private medical school in Japan, three teaching hospitals, a school of pharmacology, a law school, and a graduate school of engineering. The group's 50,000 students are spread out among 46 campuses located in Japan, the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, the UK and Hong Kong.

An interesting story about Shoichi Okinaga (who runs the The Teikyo University Group) and his purchase of a couple of U.S. colleges (and their subsequent loss of accreditation and closure) can be found here (originally posted by Dr. Bear in this thread). It should be noted, as a follow up to the story, that The Teikyo University Group started up the Colorado College of Chiropractic in Denver, CO (in affiliation with Marycrest International University), but both schools permanently ceased operations earlier this year.

Salem International is no longer part of Teikyo. It is now run by something called Informatics in Singapore.

Actually, the relationship is unique and somewhat strange. My understanding is that Salem International University remains a private, not-for-profit institution. They describe their relationship with Informatics Holdings Ltd. (which is a for profit business) as a “partnership” and someone they “will work with” to provide both on-campus and on-line education. However, they did change their name from Salem-Teikyo University to Salem International University in 2000, and although I have not been able to find any official information concerning a transfer of ownership to, or an investment by, Informatics Holdings Ltd., I do believe the institution changed hands.
