One of my known contact has just completed the Edexcel A levels (Grade 12), due to the Covid19 situation he is not planning to join any Uni at least for another year.

He is looking for an Online Business Management Diploma from which he can earn credits that can be used for his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management in a year or two.

    Any suggestions welcome.

There are dozens and dozens of such programs offered in UK. Not hard to find - just hard to choose. The thing is - all the ones I've seen lock you into a specific "partner" University. I don't know if there is a "universal" certificate that will get you "time served" at any University you choose. The cert. you get from any one provider may not give you automatic advanced entry to the Uni that meets your quality or cost parameters. I think TEKMAN's U. of London recommendation is good. Bear in mind that U. of L. is actually a consortium of Universities. I'm sure that from the Cert program details you can see the Uni. details - which of its members awards the degree and how the Uni study fits your cost parameters etc.

Yes, I too have the same concerns. What I know is most of the universities have their own Foundation year which is primarily for students who doesn't have 12 year college education

Yes, the program is offered through Royal Holloway University, it is directly in the Distance Learning program page. This is from its program site.

The Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) in Business Administration is a qualification in its own right that also provides an entry route to degree-level study.

It is ideal if you are ready to study for a degree but do not have the qualifications usually required for entry.

I don't think that's precisely what the OP was looking for - it's not a cert that would give advanced entry to Uni. This another CertHE that will facilitate first-year entry by upgrade for someone who hasn't the full 12-year qualifications required. The OP, I understand, is looking for a credential offering advanced entry - second year, hopefully.

BTW - the U. Essex cert. program is delivered by Kaplan Online Learning. Someone told me they'd disappeared - bought up and folded into the recipe that made "Purdue Global." Obviously they didn't know what they were talking about. Couldn't have been on this forum. :)

hmm, i would actually recommend going through the US route for an AA/AS degree in this situation. an A levels' certification would grant you about 30 US college credits (I've got mine evaluated b4). They will mostly fulfill your common core for an AA/AS degree. Thereafter, you would need another 30 credits to get an AA/AS in Business. Which could take as little as a year. You could look into TESU for that. Or check places like Clovis Community College - they offer a AA in Business (https://www.clovis.edu/business/index.aspx) it's about $130 USD/credit hour. So getting 30 credits would cost around $4k USD.

You can use the AA to enter a Top Up online business degree program from places like University of Derby, or University Hertfordshire in the future.

    https://www.derby.ac.uk/online/business-courses/business-and-management-top-up-bsc-hons-online/

    https://www.herts.ac.uk/courses/undergraduate/ba-hons-business-administration-top-up-online

Your total cost for everything would roughly be around 8k pounds.
