My friend, it seems as if the shoe fits you, so please wear it.

My point to add was to advise members to cease posting pointless comments such as the one that you have posted. The time could have been spent posting something much more worthwhile.

Your remark about a PhD, ink drying, - get real my friend. You have simply regurgitated what others have said before. I never intimated anything of the kind, with reference to your remark on this matter.

You see, there I fall into my own trap......see how easy it happens?

So 2 out of your 4 posts have been spent doing what you are suggesting others should not do. That didn't make sense to me so I thought perhaps I did not understand you. Thank you for letting me know I did understand you correctly.

The second paragraph was not addressing your point, but instead the whole SRU discussion. I apologize if that was not clear. So does ANYONE have ANY evidence that SRU is not a degree mill? I certainly have seen none in this thread or anywhere else.

You can summarize this whole thread and others with that one perfect question. So why have we not been given any evidence?

I haven't either. I am waiting, but I have yet to see evidence. The only thing I have learned is that it is illegal to use a degree from there and it doesn't transfer to my DETC university. One would assume that it would not transfer to the other DETC universities and never transfer to an RA university. I am curious to see evidence of RA or DETC universities that accepted SRU credits or degrees.

Well, there should be some such evidence. Can you name any mill that has worked as hard to appear legitimate as SRU has?

True that SRU is trying super hard to appear legitimate. Spending $50,000 is putting a real monetary investment behind their endeavor. It bought them entrance into UNESCO/International Handbook of Universities for one year. I'm sure that they were hoping for more though.

(Note the important difference between trying to appear legitimate and trying to become legitimate.)

Out of respect for their trying to appear legitimate and the especially amusing situation of someone claiming a degree that wasn't paid for from a degree mill, I hereby claim to have purchased a professorship from SRU.

    ...

It sure is challenging being a professor of SRU. Off to work I go, unfortunately there's more political battles between departments to deal with today. I hate all these political battles. I just wish that we could all work together for the common higher goal of scalping people out of their hard earned cash. :D

    Cheers,
    Professer Bill

What does "spending $50,000" refer to? SRU's owner, NBOE, presumably collected $50,000 in "fees" from each school that it "accredited" (e.g., Canyon College). But do we know how these "fees" break down into expenses, profit for SRU/NBOE, and pocket money for Liberian officials?

Is this correct? I had understood from Dr Bear's message that Berne was being removed, and SRU had never got in. SRU's own Website merely says "the university is in the application process for listing in The International Handbook of Universities" (http://saintregis.edu.lr/accreditation.htm).

Oops, looks like my tongue in cheek post bit off my tongue. Since SRU is apparently a bigger degree mill than my post indicated (they weren't even listed for one year), I don't think I owe SRU an apology so I'll just have to thank Mark for correcting my post and apologize to everyone else for posting misleading silliness.

    P.S. That's Professor Bill. :)
