Since you have corrected me at times Janko, I must point out that it was Loyd Bentson that said you are no Jack Kennedy to Dan Quayle not Fritz Hollings.

Being from SC I can assure you that Fritz is too damn stupid to come up with such a good line.

    Regards,

    Scott

  2. As I was going to say my farewells to this wonderful and stimulating company of people, there pops up Uncle Janko.

I've been wondering these past (how long have I been here?) couple of days about you and your whereabouts Uncle Janko. Have you been on holidays?

I like your style Uncle Janko, you are a colorful and likable character. The way you talk actually reminds me of a real uncle of mine.

Uncle, may I call you that? Thank you for reminding me a very important point. The Liberian Minister of Education (I can't remember her name right now), a lovely and highly educated lady, was actually voted Minister of Education of the Year. It is well known in the circles that have knowledge of such matters (you can conduct your own research if you like), that this lady, as well as a few other members of Taylor's government, never had any real political ties with Taylor's regime. They were put in those positions by Taylor simply because they were the only people who could do the job.

It is very likely that these ministers will serve in the next government too, as they are liked and respected by all sides and also by the people. SRU had never anything to do with Taylor personally, all dealings have been with the Minister of Education and her staff.

SRU, through a senior member of the staff, has been actively involved in the peace talks in Ghana, and will continue to help, in cooperation with the UoL administration, in the reconstruction of UoL and other schools, as well as the restoration of education in general in Liberia after the war. SRU also launched a humanitarian fund drive a few months ago to help Liberian people in need.

Yes, I must admit I shouldn't have said anything about my books written under a pen name. It happened on the spur of the moment. It was one of those momentary compulsive needs to impress which we all feel from time to time, but few of us care to admit. So, just cross it off, delete it, it never happened. As a matter of fact, I tried to edit that statement out of my post, but that was after 10 minutes had already passed, so I couldn't.

Uncle, I thought you would be too wise to use technical terminology in vain. That "joke", as you call it (which it wasn't) was not subliminal by any means. It was a metaphor. A legitimate method of communication. A quick look in the threads dedicated to SRU, reveals a plethora of such analogies, much nastier than mine, used by you people as a matter of routine. And yours, are analogies of people and they are made in earnest. Mine was an analogy of Dennis's statement, not of Dennis's person. The rest was simply teasing in response to Dennis's statement that it was fair to assume that I had bought my professorship or, if I hadn't, I was a paid shill.

It seems you people don't like the taste of your own medicine, even in smaller and milder doses than the ones you give to other people.

The explanation I gave was not bragging, or "revealing" my technique which supposedly makes it ineffective. It was an explanation in response to many posts which showed that many people had misunderstood the whole thing. And, again, don't burden yourself with terminology you don't understand. That was clearly a metaphor not a subliminal message.

    You write:

"We wouldn't want that to happen, would we?" What an interesting statement. Is it a threat?"

This tops everything I've heard here. I didn't mind the sarcasm or the vitriolic comments, etc. It was all a very interesting and stimulating game. I received and I gave back in good measure and I truly enjoyed. But, this is something else.

Uncle, do you speak from you own experience? Is that how you threaten people who happen to get in your way? If those violent tendencies and thoughts were not already in you, you wouldn't have been able to externalize them so readily and out of hand!!!

    Best regards,

    John

PS: Do you think it would be exciting to experience yourself as an alcohol crazed Alkibiades mutilating the herms?
And, I still like you Uncle!!!

  4. Mark,

Thank you so much for the correction and the Minister's name.

    Regards,

    John

With the endless months you must spend in Monrovia, one would think that you would have known the minister on a first name basis.

This thread is getting old. How many different ways can a shill peddle his product.

Mr. Dovelos should, perhaps, return to the St Regis victims forum where the unenlightened actually believe he has a meaningful degree and position.

Can I assume you bought your archbishop's title from the Universal Life Church.

Perhaps they also sell professorships. I should buy one of those plus a PhD. Then Mr. Dovelos and myself could converse as equals.

    Dear John,

SRU sold professorships. You claim to be a professor at this mill. It is an obvious conclusion to guess that you probably purchased your professorship. If that's not the case then the next reasonable assumption is that you're a partial owner in the mill. For you to deny these obvious conclusions as even being a reasonable possibility lends more credance to one of them being correct, IMHO.

I like Uncle's concluding statement, you sir are no Henrik of Knightsbridge. (What this meant to me is that at least Henrik was intellectually honest.)

    Have fun,
    Bill

P.S. I always wanted to write a "Dear John" letter. So maybe you should consider us broken up. :)

Yeah, Bruce, in layman’s terms, a mind job.

What the hell are you saying? That those with highly integrated minds are immune to your pseudo-psychological mental manipulations? Alternatively, are you implying that only those with highly trained and integrated minds could possibly understand what you are now simultaneously trying to characterize as both a joke and a legitimate psychological technique?

Cool! So now our very professional psychotherapist is not only diagnosing on a public forum, but also publicly prescribing and treating as well.

Look out, Dennis, he seems to be saying that your mind isn’t highly trained and integrated and that he has given you some sort of post-hypnotic suggestion. When the appropriate time comes, you will drop your studies at CCU and enroll in St. Regis University! :D

    Dr. Dante lives!!! :D :D :D

Is there proof to this? Maybe a news posting on a website (ie CNN) that supports this claim?

I've been lurking here for 18 months or so, and as you can tell I don't post much. But I couldn't walk away from this one:

Now, my memory isn't what it once was - but hasn't Liberia been in the midst of a civil war for several years? The last thing I would want to do is judge people based on their reputations and actions, but wouldn't good upstanding members of the professional community in Liberia try to help people before now?

Perhaps it's considered by the Saint Regis University code of ethics (they do have one?) an "educational metaphor" to call someone a pedophile on a public forum. It doesn't fly here. You've been warned, and I strongly suggest you don't pull the tiger's tail.

Liberia is in a virtual state of anarchy. That people would consider anything issued by the non-existent government of Liberia is hilarious and confounding at the same time.

Hi Scott: You are absolutely right. It was indeed Lloyd Bentsen. What threw me, I think, is that Hollings is a Lutheran (ultraliberal variety) and Bentsen has a Lutheran-sounding (sic) name. And, yes, Fritz is dumb as a post. Thanks. Janko

  16. Stop it, Dennis. You're giving me ideas.

Hmm. Unfocused invective that answers no questions, ruminations about family, discussions of imaginary humanitarianism while blood runs in the streets--yes, no, it can't be--it is!

    Comrade Enver's back!

You don't have to be an expert in business adminstration to understand that the following passage is extremely poorly written (nonsensical, really), simplistic, and not even remotely close to doctoral level work:

"With the advancement in communication technology, transportation and other technologies the world has shrink into a global village. Products developed in a country are now widely accepted in other regions of the globe as well. Many companies have been developing marketing strategies to fulfill the need, in an increasingly globalize market, for several years."*

Thank you for so vigorously defending this "dissertation." That says a great deal.

Also, why was my post on your forum deleted? You really gotta cut this stuff out. It's hard on me to vomit and laugh at the same time.

Enroll?? Don't you enroll and graduate simultaneously?

No. First, they inform you that you have graduated, and then they enroll you and bill your credit card. :D
