SteveFoerster, from a corporate perspective, that is not surprising. It's a national chain, so they cannot allow something like that to affect incoming revenues.

What does that mean in English?

So my question is this: what does this topic do in Politics? Bad customer service from some minimum wage drone is political? But how, Holmes?

...observe how there is no indication an employee in question is "in the country illegally". Just "Spanish speaking".

Stanislav, two weeks prior to the incident, a federal court ruled that Spanish ballots must be provided in English-speaking counties. The language issue in Florida is a huge ongoing legal and political issue:

Stanislav, your observation is duly noted. Don't quit your day job. o_O

I wonder what went on in the mind of the person or persons who made the call to publish such a non-story. I imagine some journalist out there thinking "Is this what I REALLY went go school for? Uggghh...."

It means "I want Taco Bell". Taco Bell used to have a commercial with a Chihuaha that would say that, it was funny.

It shouldn't be an issue. Thanks to Hurricane Maria, Florida has had a huge influx of Puerto Ricans, who are Spanish-speaking U.S. citizens. In a country without an official language -- which the U.S. is -- accommodating them during election season isn't unreasonable.
